At day break, the sense of snow was immediate. A finer quality of light peeped through the bedroom window inviting me to grab my camera. No time for coffee. Swaddled in a pink bathrobe, I swapped my slippers for boots and did my best to capture the beauty.

If there is a tenderfoot photographer merit badge for doing a photo shoot early in the morning in the freezing cold while wearing a bathrobe, I hope I get it! The snow had all melted away before noon. It is Thanksgiving Day and I am filled with gratitude towards the Earth and all the beauty she shares with us.
